CONTAINER TYPES AND SOME SPECIFICATIONS

IMO-1 or IMO-2 is used by IMDG and IMO-101 or IMO-102 by the US DOT, however it are the same equipments. So talking about IMO-1 or IMO-101 is talking about the same container equipments

IMO-1:
An IMO-1 type tank container is a portable tank for liquids fitted with pressure-relief devices and a maximum allowable pressure of 1.75 bar or above.
IMO-2:
An IMO-2 type tank container is a portable tank for liquids fitted with pressure-relief devices and a maximum allowable pressure equal to or above 1.0 bar but below 1.75 bar.
IMO-5:
An IMO-5 type tank container is a portable tank with a capacity in excess of 1,000 litters and fitted with equipment and pressure relief devices necessary for the transport of non-refrigerated, liquefied gases.
